Land Use Suitability Model for Grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) Cultivation Using the Best Worst Method: A Case Study from Ankara/Türkiye

The product of grapes with the highest added value is wine. Wine play an important role in evaluation barren lands, where no other plants generally grow. Viticulture Türkiye conducted on small areas agricultural land. In order to develop viticulture, it determine suitable areas. This study presents a model for assessing land suitability cultivation grapevines (Vitis vinifera L.) Ankara region (Türkiye). aim provide spatial decision support system based geographic information multi-criteria assessment, taking into account perspectives expert engineers and local growers. this study, 11 criteria were evaluated most locations grapevine cultivation. best worst method was used calculate weights determined criteria. When distribution examined from resulting map produced, seen that 1879.29 km2 (7%) highly areas, 5062.03 (20%) medium 4706.20 (18%) low 8355.36 (33%) unsuitable detected. According results obtained, southern parts area are more will be useful regional guide use planning grapevines.
